I studied music at Newcastle University. An experienced choral singer and soloist with the Gilbert & Sullivan Society whilst at university, I joined White Horse Opera, Devizes 8 years ago.

With White Horse Opera I took the roles of Marthe in Gounod’s “Faust” in ’02, Kate Pinkerton in Puccini’s “Mme Butterfly” in ’03, Hermine in Offenbach’s “The Tales of Hoffmann” in ’05, Curra in Verdi’s “The Force of Destiny” in ’07 and am playing Cherubino in this year’s touring production of Mozart’s “The Marriage of Figaro”, which amongst other venues will be playing at The Salberg Studio, Salisbury Playhouse in September.

I joined Devizes Light Operatic Society in ’05 for their 40th anniversary production of Cole Porter’s “Kiss Me Kate”, in the title role. With DLOS I sang Magnolia in a concert performance of ‘Showboat’, and played Lily in “Annie” in’07.

I perform regularly as a soloist with the above 2 societies, with local choral societies, and at various functions from secular and sacred to cabaret. I also perform with my friend the soprano Barbara Gompels as “Due Voci”- offering a variety of duets, solos, and flute pieces to suit any occasion. We performed on the open air stage in the town centre at the Christmas Festival in Devizes in ’06, for Christmas Functions at Urchfont Manor, and the Army at Larkhill in ‘07.

I have performed at Masterclasses with Rosalind Plowright OBE and Ian Comboy locally and Robert Tear, and Paul Arden-Griffith & Pam Smith in London. I study singing with Geraldine Aylmer-Kelly.  

      
I teach singing (specialising in LCM’s Music Theatre exams) and flute, and run the choir at St. Joseph’s Primary School in Devizes with whom I have won the primary school section in the Devizes Eisteddfod for the last 2 years.

I am married with 3 children.
