Chrissie Higgs has been singing as long as she can remember, but formally began when she joined her parents as a member of the Silver Ring Choir of Bath, in it's hay day, at the age of 10.
When she was 12 she began vocal training with Grace Donelly of Bradford-on-Avon, and also sang with the Southway Singers Ladies Choir. For a short while she also sang with Trowbridge Amateur Operatic society.
Chrissie is a founder member of the White Horse Opera and now studies singing with Ian Comboy.
Chrissie has two children who take part in operas and shows whenever they can. A long suffering husband stays away as far as possible from a stage as is humanly possible.
